GENERAL RULES - open class contestants must…

1. be a resident of Nelson County;

2. be 6-years old at the time of the contest, but not have reached 19-years old by January 1, the coming year;

3. submit an application by the deadline;

4. be a single or group performance in vocal, instrumental, dance or drama.

PRIZE MONEY 4-H PRIZES:

1^ST - $100; 2^nd - $75; 3^rd - $50; Champion and placement ribbons

*Nelson County Farm Bureau Prizes: $100 to the highest member scorer and named the Nelson County Farm Bureau Variety Winner.

*Nelson County Farm Bureau contest RULES- member contestants must….

1. follow Kentucky Farm Bureau Contest rules on the back of the application;

2. have a parent/guardian who has their membership with the Nelson County Farm Bureau (for group acts, 50% of the group members must meet this requirement);

3. represent Nelson County Farm Bureau at the 5^th District Contest held at night between October and November;

4. represent the 5^th District, if winning the District Variety contest, and perform as one of the 11 district acts in the variety showcase at the Kentucky Farm Bureau State Convention in Louisville on a Friday night in early December. The Kentucky Farm Bureau 5^th District Variety Contest winner is awarded a monetary prize at the conclusion of the Kentucky Farm Bureau Annual Meeting Variety showcase.
