2010 NELSON COUNTY FAIR GENERAL RULES

   

1.      Admission Policy:   Everyone who enters the Nelson County Fairgrounds is required to pay the admission fee or produce an official or worker pass.

GENERAL ADMISSION OF $10.00 INCLUDES ALL RIDES AND SHOWS.

Babies in arms admitted free to grounds only (rides are not included).

 

2.      Fair Board is not responsible for any accidents occurring on or around our grounds.

3.      NO glass — containers or otherwise — allowed on premises unless approved by the Fair Board.

4.      All dogs or any other animals should be retained on a leash.

5.      No person or persons allowed on fairgrounds after fair hours unless authorized by Fair Board.

6.      Local rules and regulations include:

•      Open classes are open to all exhibitors unless otherwise specified.

•      Entries made in 4-H, FFA, and FHA classes must have been produced in conjunction with an approved project sponsored by these organizations.

•      Complete livestock health requirements must meet state levels stated in this book.

7.      Rules and Regulations are subject to change at time of events.

8.      All judging is final.

9.      The Nelson County Fair is planned and conducted according to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture regulations for the use of state funds.

PLEASE NOTE:  According to state law, children must be a minimum of 36 inches tall to ride any carnival ride.  If under 36 inches tall, they will not be charged for admission and will not receive a handstamp that would allow them to ride.  This is posted at the front gate.  

IF IN DOUBT OR IF YOU CHILD IS VERY CLOSE TO 36" TALL, you can have your child measured at one of the rides.  If they are tall enough, then you can go back to the front gate to pay for their admission and get hand stamped. 

If you pay first and the ride operator says they aren't tall enough,
 YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND!

DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF THE NELSON COUNTY FAIR BOARD, THERE WILL NOT BE A COVERING/ROOF OVER THE GRANDSTANDS THIS YEAR.  FAIR PATRONS WILL BE ALLOWED TO BRING IN UMBRELLAS AND BLANKETS.  PLEASE BEAR WITH US AT THIS TIME.

NO GOLF CARTS OR ATVs WILL BE ALLOWED FOR ANYONE OTHER THAN FAIR BOARD MEMBERS.
