All contestants must pay Fair gate fee admission of $10.00. NO RAIN CHECKS.
There will be a pit area fee of $10 per person.
Feature Heat: 1st through 4th place — Trophy.

4th: $ 50.00
No glass containers allowed.

RULES:
IF CAR IS NOT SAFE YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE!
1. VIN No. must be on car in original position.
2. Each car must be signed in and inspected at the track 1 (one) hour prior to show time.
A $10.00 late fee will be added to anyone coming in after 5:30.
3. No trucks, convertibles, jeeps, hearses, limousines, or Chrysler Imperials.
4. All glass including windshield, side windows, rear windows, head and tail lights must be removed
from the car. Rolling down windows will not be permitted.
5. Chrome molding strips and rear seats must be removed. Auto must be swept clean. Any sharp protruding fins or dangerous objects must be mashed down or cut off.
7. No hood latches.
8. Original gas tank must be removed. Gas tank is to be placed in back seat area and securely fastened.
9. Fasten hood and trunk lid down in no more than 4 places using No. 9 wire. Nothing is to be fastened around bumper or chassis.
10. No spacers allowed in springs.
11. Rear coil springs should be welded in place. NO STRETCHING OF COIL SPRINGS!
12. No reinforcements or doubling of the cowl. It will be checked.
13. Special bumpers, reinforcements, fabrication or trailer hitches are not permitted. All body bushings must remain in car. NO BOLTING BODY TO FRAME, NO WELDING ON FRAMES!
14. Shock bumpers may have one weld per shock for safety reasons. No bolting, rolling or welding of
quarter panels.
15. A solid weld or chained down motor mounts are recommended. Holes may be cut in the fire-wall for access to engine or distributor but distributor cannot break plane of firewall.
16. Radiators must remain in original position or fasten midding in original position using No. 9 wire in all four corners. Transmission coolers can be run but must remain in the engine compartment.
17. It is recommended that the driver’s door be reinforced inside with a steel bar, angle iron or pipe. Length not to extend more than 3 inches on either side of the driver’s door. A cage is permitted around driver only. A 4-inch pipe (no larger) may be used from post to post from behind driver’s seat to passenger door. Doors may be welded using no more than 3 inches past the break of the door in 4 places.
18. A driver will be disqualified if door comes open during a heat.
19. Only one battery of any size is allowed. It may be moved to any position in the car, but it must be securely fastened and covered.
20. No double tires or liquid in tires is permitted. NO studs or screws in rims to hold tires. Tires will be checked. Light truck and car tires will be permitted. The largest tire that can be used is 700-15. NO LARGER
21. Car must be level-FACTORY STOCK. Bottom of bumper no higher than 19 inches. CAR MUST HAVE GIVE!!!
22. For driver’s protection, 3 vertical bars or a mesh screen must be put in place of windshield on driver’s side.
23. Safety belt, approved helmet, goggles or face shield are required.
24. Vehicles must have dependable brakes at all times.
25. Boundaries of the area must be observed at all times.
26. A 1-minute time limit is enforced by the truck officials for restarts and making competitive contact with another car. Hits must be aggressive. Simple contact within the time limit does not constitute combat and could be considered sandbagging.
27. NO DOUBLE TEAMING. This will be cause for disqualification. (IT WILL BE ENFORCED)!
28. Last 3 cars remaining in each heat will go to the feature heat.
29. Any driver or associated member of the driver’s team (this includes pit man, wives, girlfriends, etc.) fighting will automatically disqualify driver and the entire crew will be removed from the grounds.
30. No alcoholic beverages. Automatic Disqualification from future events.
31. Cars must be removed from the grounds that night unless authorized by a fair board member.
PROTESTING: {THESE RULES WILL BE ENFORCED!}

You must be able to better yourself by protesting someone.
- A fee of $200.00 will be charged for protesting.
- $50.00 goes to the officials.
- $150.00 goes to the driver in the right.
- This protest must be made in writing within 10 minutes after each heat and/or feature.
- The protester must write his or her name and car number on a piece of paper with the protestee’s name and car number, and reason for the protest to be made.
ANY ANNOUNCEMENTS MADE TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER PRINTED MATERIAL.
THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES AND DERBY OFFICIALS WILL BE FINAL
NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PERSONAL PROPERTY OR INJURIES DURING EVENT!!
The demo derby is conducted under the guidelines of the Kentucky Association of Fairs.
